Chatting with neighbours usually ends up with people ticked off. If I ask politely that he not mow his lawn at 6am, I'm deemed the "jerk". Been there done that. Not interested anymore. Just simply saying people could use their heads and think of others, that's all. Hence, the gear grinder.
