I am still doing working out. I had a struggle during the Christmas season finding time to workout, but that is common with most people. I'm working out 2-3 days per week, depending on how many days I play hockey. This week I intend to get in 4 workouts.
I find my strength and conditioning to be improved. I'm not a quicker skater but at the end of a shift my lungs aren't screaming for air, nor are my legs burning. In fact, I feel like I could take a longer shift, but I come off the ice to evenly distribute the ice time. I attribute that to DDPYoga.
I have lost another 5-10 lbs. too. I was at a plateau, but stepped up the game in terms of managing my diet. Diet is huge in weight loss. Just like CaptainCrunch, I don't follow the diet plan provided with the program, I had one created for me when I was diagnosed with diabetes.
I found that my balance on ice has increased dramatically and I attribute most of that to having a stronger core and also the Stand Up workout. That workout is designed for people with bad knees, but it is also designed to help you with your balance.
The core workout still kicks the tar out of me. I try to do it at least once per week, and I usually only hit once per week too.
I started DDPYoga in May, I think, and this is the longest I've stuck to a workout plan/routine in somewhere around 18 years. It is very motivational to do this. The key to this workout is that they preach workout your hardest, but to also make sure you only do what you can handle. It teaches you the importance of working out in your heart rate zone and making sure you don't get your heart rate up too high, and modifying a move/pose to make it easier if you think you need to do so. Other workouts I've always felt that I had to go all-out all the time, risking form and and injury and always feeling sore for a couple of days afterwards. With DDPYoga I do what I can handle, and I do push myself hard, and I am never sore the next day. In the beginning I could even feel the improvements from one workout to the next.
DDPYoga is worth the investment.
Oh, and Captain is wrong about losing control of body functions during cannonball. There is actually a lot of different moves/poses that force you to fart. My wife won't workout with me anymore.
