That was an auspicious beginning for sure, but IMO the game was set the next series when (as Browna noted) Thomas went over the middle and got steam rolled by Chancellor for his effort. That was the Hawks saying "we will give you the middle of the field but its gonna hurt"....and after that the Broncos "will" was pretty much gone and game over.
As good as Manning was all year, when things got ramped up he and his Oline both wilted under pressure. Those deep balls he threw were flat out ugly...so i really do have to question whether he can do this much longer.
At any rate the Hawks deserve all the credit as that was as dominating a win as seen in many years in any Superbowl.
