Well sometimes I think coaches can do a better job coaching a younger team with less talent because the young players will do as the coach asks. When the Flames were decimated with injuries and playing Tom Kostopolos in their top 6 under Brent Sutter, they put up the same record despite playing 6-7 AHL players for a 12 game stretch. The vets came back and suddenly so did other bad habits from their game.

This team does lack talent, the players I think are aware of this, and such know that if they don't bust their arse they will lose games 5 and 6 nothing. Hartley has done a goog job of getting the guys refocused, and back to playing with a lot of personal pride and that did start at the Vancouver fight night. This road trip will be tough if it's 3 games of Berra. Hopefully the team keeps playing hard.
