I would love to catch that again if I could figure out where the heck to find the video! I was in absolute stiches yesterday watching Neil young stagger around in hippie gear trying to hide his fading hairline (this is before his hat days) surrounded by 80s glam artists and fashions coupled with Canadian country singers right off the farm and then SCTV alumni like John Candy and Eugene Levy + random Canadian celebrities standing in the crowd singing.
They had some hilarious duets or groups like Mark Holmes from Platinum Blonde in full 80s hairsprayed giant blonde hair and full New Wave suit and thin tie standing along with some giant black woman and miscellaneous guy with 80s moustache in a boring sweater. I think Paul Shaffer, Letterman's drummer was in there too.
Corey Hart looks like he does in all his videos, like he's about to sweat every drop of water out of his body and then puke. Bryan Adams never seems to age. Then I was awed by the insanely high vocals by Geddy Lee of Rush and that guy from Loverboy, I've never heard a male singer hit an octave in full volume without falsetto like that.
Then there's the great All-Star hockey shot that's pretty much the money shot of the video I think. That's the only part they ever show when the clip is in the news.
