Oiler fans are idiots if they hate Eakins he is the least of their problems, and I think you missed the word some before Flames fans praising Hartley. And since when did fan opinion become the measuring stick for how good/bad a coach is?
I would say Harltey needing his friend to bring him back to the league after a disasterous coaching spell in Colorado and Atlanta once the team he has wasn't stacked speaks more to the coach that Hartley is and what is thought about him by people in the hockey world.
