The thing I hated most in past superman movies with Lex Luthor, was that he was always so much older then superman. The original storyline had them as childhood friends who become enemies, which to me, makes for a much more interesting, complex storyline. Hopefully the writers are able to capture it correctly. Eisenberg wouldn't have been my first choice, but maybe he can bring something new to the character.
