Also, this was completely set up as you suggest. With his paper-thin beach hut walls, he would have heard all the setup and commotion. especially with them coming up the stairs to his rickety shack.

Electrical in Indonesia is 127/230v 50 Hz, with a completely different plug. Wonder if they thought about plugging a beer fridge into a foreign electrical system in a hut before they hauled a 100 lb or whatever box across the world.
