Sure, and so would every team in the NHL most assuredly.
However, Ekblad is in the same boat with regards to his potential, and this is why you see him fighting for the 1st over-all ranking, instead of owning it at this point. All three of those players have the potential to be 1st line center/1st pairing defence, but none are what most would feel 'franchise' caliber at this point. They could all become that, but they could very well end up 2nd line/2nd pairing just as easily.
If Ekblad was definitely a 1st pairing defencemen projection, he would be ranked 1st in practically all scouting lists at the moment. I expect to see some additional flip-flopping right down to the draft.
