Would it be possible to generate enough power through the constant flow of the river, and would it be economically feasible to do so? As well, as environmentally plausible to do so?

Short answer: no.
Long answer: hydro power depends on height. Without dam height, you don't generate much energy. It would make much more sense to place the turbines at a location where there can be a height differential, and wire the energy over.
