I bought myself an Omega as a 30th b-day gift to myself, and it was the best present I've ever gotten. Highly recommended.
It's nice having one really high-quality watch. At first I thought it might spoil me and I'd want more...but I am totally satisfied with it. If it's the only watch I have for the rest of my life, then that is absolutely fine with me. Not to say that there aren't 15 other watches I buy if I hit the jackpot.
Just make sure you really really like orange if that's your big-money watch.
