I don't think there is no way.
The Oilers are going to be doing there best to make moves to help them for the short term and get as many wins this year as possible. The Flames, while not outright tanking, are going to be moving guys out that would help them get wins.
The games in hand make it tough for Edmonton to pass the Flames but still possible to see the teams finish within 2-3 points of each other either way.
