Another outdoor game with a delay. The sunshine was a different excuse but understandable. That's why evening games under the lights are much better. The Capitals game delayed by rain was moved to the evening and the Ducks-Kings game was terrific. The Rangers sure sunk the Devils 7-3. It looked like the Devils were going to be in control for a while as they had a 3-1 lead but the roof caved in on the Devils and Brodeur. He gets pulled after the Rangers scored 4 goals in the 2nd period. All in all, it was a good one and it was hockey weather. Great 2 goal comeback by the Panthers in the 3rd period at the Joe. Florida wins 5-4 in the SO over the Red Wings. Another great road win had the Jets beating the Bhawks 3-1. The Jets were down 1-0 heading into the 3rd period and score the goals. Great goaltending by Al Montoya, playing in his home town. The Jets have shot down the top 2 teams in the western conf. this past week, wow! The Oilers pull out a win, 5-1 over the Predators. Nashville gets 2 goals called back on them and Scrivens did a decent job stopping 34 shots in his 1st win as an Oiler. Talk about deja vu in the Coyotes-Canucks game. The Coyotes came from a 2 goal deficit just like they did in the Dec. 6 game in Vancouver only to lose in OT, this time 5-4. Gotta say nice GWG by Bieksa, don't see that kind of goal too often by a forward or defensemen. Both Luongo and Smith had sub par games in net. Team Canada is in trouble.
