I just hope Burke doesn't give up on the kid.

You could add Savard's name there as well, I'm all for teaching a kid to be aware in all aspects of the game but you still have to let them use their natural talents what got them drafted in the first place. Hartley and Burkes tough love on Sven was stupid IMO. THIS IS A REBUILDING TEAM.
Case in point.
In Pat Kanes rookie year he was a train wreck defensively,(coughing up the puck, not coming back..etc) coach Savard let him play as assistant coach Torchetti worked with his 3 zone play. by the end of the year he was far better defensively and lead his team in points. He's still not the greatest defensively but a big time player none the less.
I have a feeling Pat Kane wouldn't be one of the best NHL players if Hartley was his coach in his rookie year.
