The development of St. Louis was similar. The Flames need to be careful if Baertschi mans up and wants ice time to play his style of game. St. Louis credits Brian Sutter for making him defensively aware, but that did nothing for Calgary.
If this organization isn't willing to give him the ice time he needs to excel offensively, he will just sign elsewhere. He might bust as well, but history shows this isn't always the case with the Flames.
I just hope Burke doesn't give up on the kid.
