Breen was with the flames briefly to start the year and he was told what facets of his game need to improve on in order to become an NHLer. This showing will see if there's been improvements and what his future role is with the club.
First people want to see what our prospects can do in the NHL and then they freak out when a veterans position is being taken by a younger player. We're in a rebuild everyone, get used to some of our established veterans getting demoted or traded for future assets.
I for one am excited to see Breen's progression as I know he improved leaps and bounds last year and hope more of the same has happened this year.

I completely agree with this! I know there will be heart ache and loads of face palms watching some of the kids from the farm come up to play in Calgary but I am ok with it and most of us should be since we all have asked for this.
Finally some vets are being removed/demoted for the youth. Love it.
