Well at least Tanguay would have had more value than D. Jones.. And Sarich plays way better D than SOB. I hated the trade from the start. I realize that these were just bad contracts trading bad contracts, but I think Tanguay would have actually produced more points than what D. Jones did.
Overall, I think the trade was horrible. D Jones' contract is worse than Tanguay's, and I thought Sarich seemed better than SOB.We could have traded the sulky Tanguay at the deadline. SOB is a fail, he needed to fight more and show more aggression. Now all we are using them for is the keep the cap good. The cap problem should be the least of our worries.. We can sign free agents and overpay them easily.
