One thing can be said about Breen. The Flames will have given him multiple chances to prove he belongs in the NHL.

I just think this was a d-bag move by the Flames, not announcing the call up at the same time as demoting O'Brien. Unless the point was to create buzz about what might be happening, don't see why they didn't announce the call up of Breen at the same time they demoted O'Brien. Get our hopes up that Burke might be doing something to improve the on-ice product only to be let down by a meh call up.
