Gear Grinder, people who use "it's not against the law!" as justification for their actions no matter how ######y, selfish or inconsiderate the actions may be.
Sadly this is an attitude that permeates certain photography circles (particularly online) in that "as long as it's not against the law I'm justified in taking any photo I want!" becomes a legitimate reason to take harassing photos of women/children out in public spaces.
Yes, I fully understand that the letter of the law says you can photograph whatever you want in public space and that anyone who leaves there house has given up their expectation of privacy. But it doesn't make you any less of a tool for continuing to snap photos after you've been asked to stop.
"It's not illegal!" basically becomes the adult version of "I'm not touching you! You can't do anything!" while holding your finger 2 inches away from your sibling's face.
