I get that. I'm trying to suggest the oilers have a lot of talent, but it hasn't been utilized properly.
I'd argue the Oilers are poorly built, but have amassed a lot of valuable, young talent. And if they wanted to, they would be able to go out and move talent around to become a decent team in the off season.
A few players like Orielly, Orpik, Luke Schenn, Girardi, Bieksa, Edler, or Hamhuis would make them a most decent team. Team guys, with leadership, and defense first playing styles.
