How many goalies that post such poor numbers in the CHL go on to become NHL goalies in any capacity?

That's fair. Of course Ramo fled to the KHL after three seasons of sub par NHL play and has close to league worst NHL stats in his return. I don't know what the success rate would be for a player like that to find success as an NHL goalie.
Regardless, it isn't the deal that broke the back of the Flames. We don't even know if a second was truly given up for Ramo. It was a multi-player deal with lots of parts and Feaster just blabs. The trade was about getting away from a player that refused to play hard and whose contract was becoming a detriment and replacing him with a better top 6 forward. The trade was a win so I am not sure why anyone would want to pick apart the individual pieces.
As for the thread topic, I could see them extending Cammalleri and trading Hudler. They want to keep the positive environment they have in the room as it is the right environment to have on a rebuilding team. Cammy (and Stajan) are parts of that and you need these players to shelter your youth anyway. Hudler might also bring back a richer return.
As long as they don't give Cammalleri a ridiculous contract and they trade Hudler instead (we need to trade one or the other) than I am okay with it.
