These "insiders" aren't much better than ecklund, but I could see Burke talking to Cammy. Cammy is an asset. If he thinks he can sign him for a below-market number (No NTC), it might be worth it. If Cammy is asking for the moon, it becomes more clear that he is a rental at the deadline and it seems that Burke's style would be to straight up tell him that they will move him if they can. Still seems most likely that he will be traded as a rental.
