As a realist, I can see the Jets levelling back to around .500, finishing the season with 32–37 wins, which seems much more plausible than the laughably high .710 pace that you have projected for them. That's 20 wins with road games yet to play in LA, SJ (x2), Chicago, St. Louis (x2), Colorado, and Anaheim, and home dates against Vancouver (x2), LA, Colorado, Pittsburgh, and Boston. Really? What you are suggesting would require AT BEST a .500 record against these teams, accepting that they must win virtually all of their other games down the stretch.
Yeah. I don't see it. I don't even see anything close to it.

As bad as Edmonton is—and this is considering that they are demonstrably the worst hockey team in the post-2004 lockout NHL—I'm not even convinced of that.
