Yeah it's pretty clear that you don't need to do much to "rough up" a Sedin. Apparently a little shove can end the greatest Ironman streak in the league.

Also, the pre-emptive strike wasn't Hartley's line up, it was the Canucks calling up Lain and all the shenanigans they got up to on the Cali road trip. Hartley was responding to the new and improved tough Canucks.
