The videotape was released in response to a Freedom of Information lawsuit filed against the U.S. Department of Defence in February by Judicial Watch, a conservative government watchdog.
The group wanted the video aired to counter various conspiracy theories about the attack, including claims that the plane was shot down by a missile.
