I understand the lack of stimulation hurts but addictions have their withdrawal pains. I for one don't think Burke can just get up one morning and decide to start rebuilding. Rebuilding can be long, boring, disappointing and involves holding out for the right deal etc. It doesn't matter if Burke gets up at 4Am and paces the halls of his office building, its not going to speed up time.
