I have patience for a rebuild, and I can take the losing, but when it seems like the players are giving no effort, it's tough.
Earlier in the year, the Flames were at least fun to watch, even when losing. Now, they are boring and losing.
I do not like Biran Burke, he is right that big wins, but I don't like his idea of big. It's not goons that win it for you, it's big hard to move forwards with skill. It's big d-men that can also make a good first pass (or more offensively). It's a big goalie that is also athletic. It's guys like Bouma who crash and bang on your 4th line and maybe one McGratten.
I really hope that whoever Burke hires has the ability to run the team as they see fit, with minimal muddling from Burke.
