Another Canadian has been killed Syria, reportedly a victim of the infighting between groups opposed to the regime of President Bashar Assad.
News broke Tuesday on social media that Abu Talha Al-Kanadi – which was a kunya, or nickname, for Calgary resident Damian Clairmont – was killed by fighters with the Free Syrian Army.
Clairmont left his home in Alberta in November 2012 and allegedly joined the Al Qaeda-linked group Jabhat al-Nusra.
