This is what decades worth of horrible drafting does to a team. You don't reverse that kind of ineptitude within one or two seasons. Monahan is a nice start but the Flames need to draft several more star level prospects, and they have to pan out. Only then will we have something to look forward to. Depth players have never been an issue for the team. Drafting elite talent has. As much as I don't ever want the team to lose, we need a top 3 pick the next two seasons, and we need to pray that somehow one of them is a #1 overall pick overall.
