No, just saying that someone with a good record of drafting doesn't translate to being a good GM. Doesn't hurt, but Button was horrible in other aspects of the job. Savard for who again? Buying out St Louis? Trading a future Conn Smythe winner and bringing in a broken down Turek? Highly suspect record and drafting those gems Nystrom and Kobasew sure changed the future of the franchise, didn't it?
