Hey there folks,

Have a computer problem I was hoping you may help me out with. My mom's laptop is 'stuck' in making an update every single time it's shut down. Obviously it doesn't appear to be doing anything, or finishing the update. Appears to be the exact same one each time.

In trying to resolve this problem I've run a full scan of the antivirus (Kaspersky) and performed a manual windows update. The antivirus scan actually seemed to help for a few days, but it went back to the exact same pattern. The windows update didn't appear to do anything.

I think it is a windows update problem because (I believe) it first started after a large automatic windows update.

Any thoughts beside reinstall/format?
