FYI....it's a nice theory but you'll probably never do it. Our group used to play marathon (12+ hour) A&A matches regularly but the amount of stamina you'd need to play a good strategic round on the combo map would be outrageous!

The updated Europe Map is nice because some of the zones are different and reduce bottlenecks and they introduce artillery. The Pacific Map though (imo) is just dreadfully boring. You usually know within 6-8 rounds whether Japan is going to hold on for a conditional victory or not, then it's just playing out the string.

That all said, I will be checking out the 1914 edition asap - tons of great potential!
