Unfortunately, thats probably a good signing for Toronto. 7 million is about right for Dion in the going market. Plays big minutes, and all situations. Has offensive upside too.
Remember, the salary cap is going up, so Toronto can afford this hit. Phaneuf won't even be that old when his contract is up.
