Probably, but all of the above assets are

a) worth more to the Flames than they would be to the Leafs.

and

b) also worth more to the Flames than Kadri likely would be.



But I think it's difficult to predict what the Leafs will do, and what they would want in return.

This is a team that bought out their best centreman (who is now on a 24 goal and 65 point pace in Washington, while leading their forwards in +/-).

So that they could throw a $37m retirement contract at David Clarkson, on the basis of one and a half good seasons (who is now on a 6 goal pace, if you count his suspensions).

They also seem to have notions that they are are 'in it to win it'.

As such, I expect they might put quite a lot of value on veteran players, even those on expiring contracts if there is a likelihood of them re-signing. I think Cammalleri does help the team win now, and I think there's a good chance he re-signs in Toronto, so it would even be reasonable for the Leafs to place a lot of value in him as a trade return.

Doesn't mean they'll do it, but it wouldn't be completely unreasonable.
