Pylon that sounds awful. I'd be so mad I'd likely go back and steal something worth a significant amount of money to break even. Weasels.
WHC also has that option to put your membership on hold for the small price of $20 biweekly or something ludicris like that. It's not much cheaper than the rate you're already paying. Why TF would somone want to hold on to something for a few months and pay almost the same cost.
Amazingly I ditched WHC because they were being cheap #######s and wouldn't waive any of their awful sign up fees when I had been a member 4 months earlier (I took summer off) and wanted to bump my rate when I had been a member for 12 or more years. So I went to the YMCA.
