During a rebuild you need to bring guys in to the locker room who have character, experience and a strong work ethic. What Westgarth brings to a rebuilding team won't be obvious on the scoresheet but he is a perfect addition to this team for right now. He is a great team guy and has been through a successful rebuild before. Rebuilding requires different parts to be a success. What appears to be a nothing move, or even a step backwards may not be. There are less obvious, but very important intricacies for a successful rebuild...or you end up like the Oilers.
