I'd put a vote in keep Stempniak. He's the type of veteran you want around a rebuild and younger players. He plays a committed and complete game. He's very versatile, can play in all situations, he has a great attitude, sticks up for his team mates and doesn't pout or complain.

Agree with you on his character but I just don't like his inconsistency. I think it sends a bad message to young players when the vets are so inconsistent. Same could be said for most of the veterans on this team. Probably explains why the Flames have sucked for so many years.
