Maybe he injured himself diving. I agree that it's ridiculous to think he stayed out to get a suspension, but on the other hand, that was such a dive. That was so unnatural, it wasn't even funny. It looked to me like when McGrattan's glove grazed his face, Alberts thought it was a stick, so he kicked his skates back, and went down like a ton of bricks to sell it. Maybe he jarred his back hitting the ice so pathetically.
