I know you are a fan of the good old days and a guy that likes to talk about how things were better when you were younger but you don't seem that old (my guess is 40-45) and from people I know in that range I would think you and your friends would have been the exception not the rule if you owned your own businesses and had mortgages.

Maybe it is because at 22 me and my friends had just finished or were finishing university but I can't think of a single friend, family member or acquaint that had a mortgage at 22 and nobody that owned any business of consequence. I don't think I or my friends are that different from most.
Haha, I feel like I am being the Moon of this thread. Mr. opposite opinion for the sake of it. I just simply find it odd that a 22 year old can't think his way out of a pretty simple situation, that's all. Stopping in the middle of the highway is a very dangerous and irrational conclusion to draw.

In retrospect, if someone else had of made my post I would have probably jumped on them to. Oh well, you know what they say about opinions....

Also you could buy a house or condo for 100k in the mid 90's with 5k down, it wasn't a for 5 months to put together a down payment, and it was not uncommon for people under 25 to own homes. And you don't have to guess my age, I put it in the first post.

I will bow out. I am an a-hole. Get off my lawn. Etc, etc.
