Which begs the question, why host the wjc outside Canada if there is no fan support?
Watching Germany and Slovakia and lots of empty blue seats. Must suck for the players to play in an empty arena.
North America supports the wjc way more than the Euros. Given that the World Championships are always played in Europe due to conflict with the Stanley Cup Playoffs, why don't they make the wjc permanent in North America? That way we aren't up at ungodly times of the day to watch our team. Oh wait, the Euros control the IIHF, that will never happen. Sucks being a colony.
