I wouldn't move him, I do understand the thought of considering it but to me he's the untouchable of the vets. He's a guy who's been through everything that a young guy could possibly see on their development path (undrafted, years in the minors, not being signed and spending a year in Russia, getting a good sized contract, taking a leadership role). Plus defensemen can hold their primes later than forwards (also takes them longer to develop). He's just a good mentor to have on the roster and a guy you can point to as what hard work can do.
Any other vet (including Hudler) i'd be willing to move for the right price.. but Gio would be a guy I'd want to represent what you want from the players on the team.
