Gagner > Baertschi
If you're not willing to call Baertschi "terrible" then you can't very well call Gagner terrible. Same goes for half the players on the Flames roster.
Gagner is an excellent playmaker, but he's a defensive liability. Those exist in the NHL quite heavily. On bad teams they stick out, or great teams they look superb. He's essentially an Alex Tanguay that can actually produce on a terrible team.
Honestly, if Gagner is what the benchmark for "terrible" is, then you're essentially calling a large contingent of the NHL terrible, along with a lot of the guys you regularly defend.
