It's as educated a statement as I can make. I've watched him (video) play a few times this season. He plays mostly on the third line.He gets special teams but doesn't play with Mauermann who is team's best goal scorer. Janko has 7 goals, which is second on the team behind Mauermann's 10. Friars are known in the division as a defensive low scoring team.
Jankowski is still among the youngest of college hockey players (bottom 20% I believe)
At one point his stat line was 7 goals and 1 assist I believe, lots of plays dying away from his stick.
He was picked as a project. He's still got about 80% of the journey left to make. Some of the superficial stat stuff is because of the team. They lean on Gillies to win games for the most part.
If he was playing with a couple 10 goal scorers, I would be a lot more worried.
