Next time, read the article as the headline was misleading. Chen has to serve 15 years before he is eligible for parole. That doesn't even mean he will be automatically granted parole after 15 years. The article doesn't really state what he was sentenced to though. I would imagine that it is life in prison with parole eligibility after 15 years.
