It is irrelevant if they are a crappy band.
What does the mom think happens at concerts? Unless they are being held in a bar or beer gardens, aren't most concerts all ages by default? So it being an 'all ages' concert doesn't absolve her of the responsability of determining what the show may be like.
And I'd be willing to bet that if her kid was old enough to want to go to a Fallout Boy concert then the child has probably had worse conversations among friends than anything Fallout Boy could have said. The mom needs to get her head out of the sand and do some parenting.
Maybe she was surprised but the content, but talk to your child. Take some responsibility for what is being learned, don't try to blame a band (or genre of music, or video games...) for what your child thinks.
