Regehr was no where near close to being a 6th defencemen as a UFA. He still has plenty of game left and is a player the Flames have missed dearly.

Just to play devil's advocate here, but are we basing the quality of a player based on his return in a trade?
Yeah, Regehr got two 2nd's.
So did Douglas Murray... who is a.... what's that? Oh right, a sixth defenceman after becoming a UFA.
In fact, the progression of the two during the time where they got traded was eerily similar, save for the fact that instead of going UFA, one got traded to the Kings and got to play under Sutter, and is now getting second pairing minutes.
