“Happy tears, of course,” Keegan Kanzig said of Thursday morning’s scene at the family home — with parents Mark and Sue — in Fort Saskatchewan. “They’re both very proud. I think it was a little surreal for them.”

“They do have some confidence in me and they do see some potential,” Kanzig said of his employers. “That’s a great feeling. I’ll be doing my best not to let them down.”
