You can't hire someone with no question marks. A potential candidate with no question marks simply doesn't exist.
I also wouldn't call Nieuwendyk's track record terrible, when I saw the link to all him moves in another thread it surprised me how good some of the moves were, prior to that I just focused on the Neal trade and assumed he was terrible, but that is simply not the case.
