The Perron trade reminds me of a lot of Feaster trades. In a vacuum it looks good (mainly because of how bad MPS is) but really it does nothing to improve the team.
Perron is a one-dimensional soft player who brings nothing but offense and stupid penalties. The Oilers are a team of one dimensional soft forwards so adding another doesn't improve them at all.
Sure the Perron for MPS looks like a decent value move but in the end the Oilers are no better or worse after the deal was made.
