I J-walk. I also speed a bit too.
I've never gotten a J-walking ticket, but if I do I will just mutter to myself for a bit (because I'm the one to blame.)
Last speeding ticket I got I thanked the cop. I think my exact words were "Thanks. Well, not
thanks, but you know, thanks." (with the tone of not thanks for the ticket, but thanks for doing your job.)
I'm not sure about how the police force works, but every job I've ever done there is always one shinguard task that has to be done. At my current job we work in rotation so not everybody has to do it at once. I would imagine this guy didn't aspire to be a J-walking enforcer; but rather does this as part of a rotation.
Of course this morning when I was looking for it- I was forced to stop my car 3 times to let a J-walker by in front of me.
